Unless you jailbroken your PS3, i don't know how else you would extract your game save. Then again it could be encrypted. Importing game saves from Xbox seems easier, since you can just put your game save on a usb and export it using Horizon.

It could be possible. I've used bruteforce save data to convert mass effect files from ps3 to pc. All it had to do was decrypt the file and it was good to go, but it does depend on how they go about things.

There's a lot that can go wrong and I was far less successful in editing the file and then having it work. Although the only thing on the savefile that matters most is the story, if you don't mind about equpiment or level which, unless you spent a lot of time grinding for would be about the same on every file you could probably just copy someone elses?
